When you have genital warts, you suffer the pain and humiliation of ugly red bumps on your private parts that hurt and itch. You are probably mortified that you have them and want to treat genital wart as soon as possible and get rid of them!

Genital warts are becoming more and more common, especially among sexually active young people. You can spread herpes to your partner, even when there are no visible signs or symptoms. This makes it very difficult to prevent transmission from person to person.

Genital warts are caused by the HPV virus, an extremely contagious virus that lives in the blood stream and deep under the surface of the skin. It is spread through sexual contact, and can even be transmitted by scratching a wart and then touching another person. If you suspect that you or someone you are in contact with has genital warts, it is important that you take precautionary measures to prevent spreading it. The best way to do this is to treat genital wart.

It is imperative that you inform your partner that you have genital warts. If you have given this to them then you will both need to treat genital wart. If only one of you gets treated then you will continue to pass the disease back and forth to each other and will never get rid of it.

Although genital warts is an ailment that approximately 60% of people will experience in their lifetime, people who get it feel disgusted with themselves and very ashamed. This is made worse when you have to have your most private parts examined by a doctor so that he can confirm or treat your genital warts.

To avoid this kind of humiliation, you can treat genital wart at home. There are natural ways to treat genital wart that do not require the cost or embarrassment of a visit to your doctor.

Question about sex related infection of some sort..?

I’ve been dating the same guy for the past year and we’ve only been having sex for the past month. Neither of us had any kind of infection or rash previously-I know this because we’d had plenty of contact before, just not sex. I had been out of town for 2 weeks and when I came back we had quite the reunion. More frequent sex than we’ve had before in a short amount of days. My pelvic bone, I beleive is what it’s called, felt bruised. It hurt when he pushed up against it and it was red-ish where it felt bruised. Later I noticed two small pimple-like bumps. I did tons of research and no std’s really match the symptoms. I’ve seen pictures of std’s and they horrify me, whereas my condition is barely noticeable. It doesn’t itch and only hurts if pressure is applied. I got really worried when I found out that my boyfriend had the same thing. Could this be from repeatedly knocking pelvic bones together? Any ideas? Please don’t tell me to go to a clinic, I’m looking for an opinion before I do.

First of all, you should both get checked out. Some STD’s can have long term effects – including infertility. It could be a lot of things, and realize that STD’s look and feel different in different people. Yes, it could be just bruising from a lot of sex. But the bumps are what concern me. It could be herpes, PID, (pelvic inflammatory disease), you could have a urinary tract infection from too much sex. (People used to call it the “newlyweds disease” because women would often get them after marriage – when they were having sex repeatedly for the first time.) There is NO way to know or diagnose yourself over the internet. Please go – together – to a planned parenthood or family doc and get checked out. :) Good luck!

Genital Herpes Treatment

The symptoms of genital herpes usually start with tenderness, itching, or even pain in the genital area. They can be accompanied by headache and fever.

As for males, blisters appear on the penis. As for females, blisters come up on the area surrounding the vagina, and in the cervix. Beside this, the blisters could be found on the buttocks and thighs. After a while, blisters erupt and form painful sores which will remain for 1-3 weeks.

These are not the only symptoms one may get. Among others, there could be a burning sensation or pain during urination. In females, there may be a clear mucus-like discharge from the vagina or urethra (opening for urine). The same is possible in males: a clear mucus-like discharge from the tip of the penis. In addition to this, there may be swollen glands in the groin area.

Herpes virus is indicated as HSV (Herpes simplex virus). There are HSV1 and HSV2; the last one is the genital herpes virus. It acts in a much way the same as HSV1 (which produces cold sores), i.e. after an initial herpes outbreak of genital blisters, the virus (HSV2) also remains dormant in nearby nerves and can start acting again later in life. The symptoms of reactivated virus which causes genital herpes, are like those of first outbreak of HSV1, by they are less severe in general. But in different people the virus may be acting differently. The outbreaks may be more frequent or more severe in different people.

79% of people will experience general symptoms during the first outbreak, which include: fever to 102 degrees, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, and swollen lymph nodes.

We have to add something here. Actually, in the past, it was the herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV2), which was the cause of genital herpes. In other words, it was the only cause genital herpes. But now, new genital herpes infections are equally caused by the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1) and the herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV2). The majority of people who are going to get a primary outbreak will have it between 3 days to 2 weeks after exposure.

First genital herpes outbreak in females

The chance to get infected with HSV2 is four times higher in women than in men. And also the disease is more severe and more complicated in females than in males.

If a herpes outbreak will happen in woman on the cervix or vagina and not externally, the vaginal discharge may develop, as well as burning with urination or pelvic pain. Some women may have a 2nd round of blisters or ulcers in the second week with the first outbreak.

How long does the first genital herpes outbreak last?

We mentioned already how long sores will remain and how frequent the outbreaks may be. So, now about the first genital herpes infection – it usually lasts 2-3 weeks, but skin pain can stay for 1 to 6 weeks. After the blisters dry out and erupt, they (crusts) fall off and the area is not contagious anymore.

std dating match

match.com, a magnet for std infected people?

I’ve enjoyed match.com since I started, and have had many great dates, but have never gotten serious or involved sexually with anyone. My roommate met a couple of girls, got somewhat serious and both revealed to him they had herpes. Do you think this is common or just a fluke?

It’s a fluke. You have just as much expectation of dating someone with an STD or an STI anywhere else. It’s a problem endemic of our entire society, not just Internet dating sites.
