How can I read my herpes simplex test results? Is it HSV1 or 2? Got it though oral sex with husband.?
My results were positive for herpes simplex but i want to know if it is type 1 hsv or type 2. I know I got it through oral sex from my husband when he had a cold sore. I know this sounds dumb, but I had no idea cold sores were a form of herpes and he didn’t either. The doctors all think my husband cheated on me but I know he didn’t. We just weren’t “educated enough”. Anyway the test also shows that I am negative for all other STD’s. Can anyone help that has heard results from their doctor after testing? Assume I cannot go to the doctor. Not many of us can anymore. Thanks.
If he had cold sores then passed it to you through oral then chances are that it’s HSV1… They should have told you when you got the results if it was 1 or 2… I would call up the Dr. who did the testing and ask them if it’s 1 or 2…

What is my chances of getting Herpes one time with unprotected sex. My GF and I have been fighting about this.
I had sex with my new GF about 10 times and we had a condom everytime, but one day we had a condom break I did not know until I pulled out. About a week later, she had her period. Days later she had some itching. She went to her doctor for a check up on all std’s including HIV. She was negative, except for Herpes. She said the doc did not know which type, but she was positive. We do not know who gave it to who. She only had one break out and alleges she had never had a BF for 9 years since she has a daughter. I contacted my previous GF and she said she tested negative for everything. At this point, I am freaking out just like everyone else. We all have seen those horrible Herpes pictures. What I need to know specifically is what are my chances as a man getting Herpes from a woman that has never had a break out, she did not have any break outs and it was one time unprotected.
