How do I pay for a HIV/STD test at the doctors?

I know this is a really stupid question, but I’m only 17 and am going to a non-family doctor by myself who specialises in gay men’s health (I’d rather not let my family or my family doctor know that I’m going for a HIV test for obvious reasons)

I’m pretty sure I’m negative, but I’m checking just in case. I’m talking more about the payment. After I ring up to book, do I just bring along a medicare card? I’m so confused about all the bulk billing stuff as well. How much does a HIV/STD test usually cost?

Sorry, too many questions. If anyone could help I’d really appreciate it.

Call the clinic,tell them what kind of insurance you have and you were just wondering how much it’s going to cost you to get an HIV test done.they will tell you what you need to bring and you can then make an appointment and be prepared ahead of time.It’s good that you are taking appropriate precautions considering your health.Good luck with the results.
