No chance of getting pregnant or getting someone pregnant.
No chance of STDs.

No because its like having sex with someone thats dead or a dummy, sex should be something you share with someone and have emotions behind it, doing that with an artificial person is just to get off and not as much pleasurable but hey thats just me

If I had unprotected sex after missing the pill, how high are my risk for pregnancy?

I have been on the pill for a couple years now and just recently in the past month have either missed a day or was late a couple of times. I am on the last week on my 28 days and was late on one pill a few days ago. I had unprotected sex (with someone I know, so I am not at risk for STDs) I am worried about being at risk for pregnancy. I rarely get my period due to such a such high dosage pill (I am unsure if this would relate to my risks) Are there any symptoms the morning after? When should I take an at-home test?

I missed a pills in December of 02 and I had a son turning one in January. We weren’t expecting to become pregnant…

I now have a 5 year old and a 3 year old who will be 4 in September (do the math…lol).

It generally takes 5 weeks for a pregnancy test to come back positive. Take a test in a couple weeks and if you are still unsure go to your ob/gyn and have them give you a test. If you still haven’t started your period then have an ultrasound. I wish you the best of luck!!

If you have recurrent genital herpes outbreaks, then you are probably familiar with the symptoms that you get right before a visible outbreak. The symptoms may vary but many describe them as shooting pains through the legs, tingling sensations in the genitals, localized swollen glands and backaches. Collectively these symptoms are referred to as “prodrome” and is a sign of reactivation of the herpes virus. Prodrome is usually an indication that sores or skin lesions are coming, however this is not always the case.

Unfortunately, doctors have yet to determine the exact cause to recurrent herpes outbreaks – however there are a few triggers that are known. Excessive exposure to ultraviolet light has been known to trigger outbreaks in herpes type 1, so while it is unlikely that your genitals will be exposed to UV light (sunburn), it’s important to keep this in mind when you’re tanning or sunbathing. Friction and heavy rubbing to the genital area can also activate the herpes virus. Believe it or not, the food you eat can also bring the virus out of hiding. Sugars, chocolate and caffeine should be avoided as much as possible.

The best way to control your herpes outbreaks is to track your prodrome symptoms. Keep a journal of the things that you experience before each outbreak until you notice a pattern. Once you have established a reliable prodrome pattern, start taking your herpes medication at the onset. This will help you avoid a full outbreak with skin lesions.

Medical reports indicate that virtually all who suffer from herpes type 2 will experience a reactivation of the virus. This reactivation is more popularly referred to as “outbreaks”. The average person will experience an average of four outbreaks per year, with that number gradually decreasing over time.

It’s always best to seek the counsel of a trained medical expert. You should not self-diagnose.

I have thyroid issues and some of the symptoms definitely seem like you might have some thyroid problems check with your doc

Moral obligation to warn others about STDs?

My ex husband totally fooled me for over a year before I found out what he really was. He lied to me and gave me some STDs that he knew he had. He admitted he’d known for over 25 years and had unprotected sex with dozens and dozens of women without ever telling them. I was horrified to find out what kind of monster I married! I realize that many of his one night stands can only blame themselves for having unprotected sex with a stranger, but many of his former girlfriends may have been innocent (like me!) I found out that my ex kept a list of conquests by year, (he turned out to be a very sick sex addict!) So, I know the names and years of dozens of women he may have infected. I feel like they have a right to know. Since he doesn’t have the class or morals to tell people he’s endangering them, should I have the moral obligation to warn all of the women on his list? Just the fact that he has this list is so creepy!

Wanted to know some personal stories of symptoms of STDS?

Im freaking out about it and was wondering people would share some symptoms they had for all STDS

I found out last month I had chlamydia and have HPV. I got treated with one dose of azithromycin for the chlamydia and am getting a colposcopy for the HPV. I never had any symptoms and neither did my boyfriend and neither of us can figure out how we contracted it. But if you’re worried you should really go to the doctor regardless of what you think it is. Better safe than sorry.
