Do clinics/hospitals test pregnant women for HPV/Genital wart?

Im now 8 months pregnant and in the shower i discovered a bump. Its painless only one and its clear located right on the opening of my vagina.Im really worried about this. Ive already had STD test by my doctor and everything came back negative, if this was a genital wart wouldn’t my doctor inform me of this already?

yes! of course! they must test you! if you have some worries then juust go to your doctor and let him examine ! let him look – is this warts or something else!!

anyway – HPV is not genetic, it’s usually passed by skin contact when the baby comes through the birth canal when the mother has an out break of genital warts. After that baby can have mouth or/and throat warts…
There are things that can be done to prevent genital warts from being passed on when the mother gives birth. Such as having a c-section if there is an out break at the time of delivery. So if you do not have any outbreaks – then no need to do c-section!

Is a woman bleeding during sex normal?

My girlfriend tends to bleed during sex, i’ve been with her 8 months and lately had a rocky period. I got tested for chlamydia and were clear, but i’ve heard this can be a symptom of gonorrhoea. I’m aware women can bleed for a variety of reasons, but i’m unsure if this could be a sign of something. What is the testing for gonorrhoea like?

No, bleeding during sex is usually not normal. If she is having this problem she should see her gynecologist to rule out problems such as STD’s or cervical cancer. She will need a papsmear to rule out these problems.

As for you, if you are interested in being testing for gonorrhea, it is possible to do that test through a simple urine sample instead of the “q-tip in the urethra” method that you have probably heard about. But, I highly suggest that she see a doctor herself for a papsmear in order to rule out any serious problems such as cervical cancer.

Does anybody know what percentage of gay men are HIV positive?

I asked this question in the std section and just got answers like they are 10 times more likely, and wear protection if you are gay and quit having multiple partners. All I wanted to know is does anyone have an idea on what percentage of men are infected.

I’m assuming youmean in North America rather than worldwide. many gay activists willtry to hide the fact that it is still a gay problem in the USA and Canada by quoting the african stats and therefore concluding that young women have it most.

Its pretty well impossible to tell what ” percentage” of gay have aids because many will not tell you that they are gay. however this information may help its the listings from the CDC on who has it , their sexual orientation and how many cases there have been of each . as of 2007 the most recent documented studies.

as you can see, homosexual males still have the highest incidence of HIV regardless of what drivel the activists have tried to put out. It still by a factor of 4.6 to 1 a gay problem in North America according to the CDC>

Wow, we are too much alike! I’m 18 and pregnant with my first who is due April 4th! I’ve had the exact same thing happen to me, and have been too embarrassed to ask anyone, but I did mention it to my doctor and he didn’t seem too concerned because I have been tested and all (I’ve only been with one person also and I know he doesn’t have anything). They go away after a while and aren’t painful either, but they are annoying. So when you get some answers I’ll be checking back =)

is it possible for a man to come without sperm? on sunday my bf “released” clear liquid and when i asked him about it (i was concerned it was a sign of an std or something) he said that happens sometimes and its common for guys if they come alot and it isnt a big deal. i thought maybe because he came 5 times (3 from intercourse and 2 from oral) that day that had something to do with it…. is he being truthful or is clear ejaculate a sign of something more serious? should he be concerned?

Yes, what he’s telling you is accurate. You’re keeping him so busy that his body can’t keep up with the demand. Hopefully, you’ll be giving him a break for a day or so and then you’ll see that things will get back to normal.

What are the chances that my treatment for Chlamydia didn’t work?

I went into the gyno a little over a month ago for a yeast infection, long story short, I contracted chlamydia from my now ex. I was treated and haven’t had intercourse since, I went back into the gyno for yet another yeast infection and she said it’s too soon to retest that they like to wait awhile before they retest because it could still show positive. I was reading that it’s possible that the treatment didn’t work, is that true?

It’s possible. Depends how virulent the infection was and how strong the strain that infected you was. Could be that the strain was already exposed to your treating antibitotic already and has built up an immunity to it thus requiring a stronger antibitotic. That’s normally the case these days especially when doctors are so into this whole “give ‘em an antibitotic for whatever they got wrong with ‘em” mentality these days. Worse case scenario, the doctor might not have sent your specimen to the lab to get a positive result and instead just went off of her assessment as to what the pathogen might be. In that case, the treatment is a hit or miss scenario and they’ll eventually get it right.
