Vaginal bumps during pregnancy,what causes these?

I’m 18 and pregnant with my first,due April 11th.

Wow, we are too much alike! I’m 18 and pregnant with my first who is due April 4th! I’ve had the exact same thing happen to me, and have been too embarrassed to ask anyone, but I did mention it to my doctor and he didn’t seem too concerned because I have been tested and all (I’ve only been with one person also and I know he doesn’t have anything). They go away after a while and aren’t painful either, but they are annoying. So when you get some answers I’ll be checking back =)

What are the chances that my treatment for Chlamydia didn’t work?

I went into the gyno a little over a month ago for a yeast infection, long story short, I contracted chlamydia from my now ex. I was treated and haven’t had intercourse since, I went back into the gyno for yet another yeast infection and she said it’s too soon to retest that they like to wait awhile before they retest because it could still show positive. I was reading that it’s possible that the treatment didn’t work, is that true?

It’s possible. Depends how virulent the infection was and how strong the strain that infected you was. Could be that the strain was already exposed to your treating antibitotic already and has built up an immunity to it thus requiring a stronger antibitotic. That’s normally the case these days especially when doctors are so into this whole “give ‘em an antibitotic for whatever they got wrong with ‘em” mentality these days. Worse case scenario, the doctor might not have sent your specimen to the lab to get a positive result and instead just went off of her assessment as to what the pathogen might be. In that case, the treatment is a hit or miss scenario and they’ll eventually get it right.

Is it possible to get gonorrhea in the ear?

my book club was discussing recently, yah thats it, my book club…anyway, we were talking about how if 1 can get gonorrhea down there, and even in the throat, could it turn ito a nasty ear infection if the guys aim was “off”….seriously, what would happen?

Yes. I worked in a lab one time and some test samples came in on a family of children that had been molested by a step-father. The kids all had gonorrhea, in their ears, eyes, thoats. It was very sad to think an adult would do that to children.

Pregnancy-like vaginal mucous, but not pregnant.?

I’ve been reading online that snot-like (sorry to sound so gross) vaginal mucous is a normal in pregnant women. I’m not pregnant, but my normal discharge is quite thick such as snot. I’ve been on birth control for years, so I don’t remember what my discharge was like before it.

I’ve never been pregnant, but at certain points in my cycle, I do get discharge that is very mucilagenous (mucus-like). I’ve read that women get this “snot like” discharge when they are ovulating. It acts as a bridge from the vagina to the uterus, and helps the sperm find their way to the egg.

It’s normal. Don’t worry about it.

How long do I have before permanent damage? (Gonorrhea)?

Im almost positive I have gonorrhea, & caught it in the 2nd week of January. I noticed symptoms about a week or 2 later, but thought it was a yeast infection or something minor. Then I thought it was herpes, & used a blow dryer down there to help. It soothed the itching a bit, but made it uncomfortable because of the extreme dryness.
I’ve been reading about symptoms, & I have itching, pain & burning during urination, frequent urination, dryness, bloody discharge, cramping, sore throat.
It’s only been 2 months, & Im getting a test tomorow. I dont know how long it will take to get my results & treatment.
Is it already serious? Has permanent damage been done? Am I able to catch gonorrhea again ? How long after treatment will I feel better? Has it already spread to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease?
P.S- My vagina is also very red & swollen, with different smelling discharges, colours, textures every other day. & My period has been irregular.

Only your doctor will be able to tell you if you have developed PID, but the test should provide results pretty quickly and you will receive treatment right away. You are definitely able to catch gonorrhea again, the active proteins on the bacteria that causes it (Neisseria) are constantly changing, much like a cold does, so there is always a different strain to catch. By the way.. never wait two months again – go as soon as you think something is up because that’s kind of a long time.

why im feeling this….?

okay i had unprotected sex the 31 of oct. i came on my period late oct 20th. all along i been having wired pains in lower abdomen, it’s like sharp pains every now in then.me and my boyfriend just broke up and now he has a baby on the way and im thinking that i could be feeling her symptoms b/c we had unprotected sex lol!, we was trying for a baby.but now every since we broke up i still haven’t came on my period yet and im having these wired pains again, i also see brown stuff in underwear. when i wipe it’s not that much. im going to the doctor to see if he gave me std cause he had unprotected sex with sum other b**** and then with me. but i can’t be pregnant right??? i don’t normally get brown discharge and its not smelly or itchy, i am bloated and have gas alot. please help a women out with this

How long before you go sterile when having chlamydia?(for males)?

i found out my girlfriend had chlamydia and i got tested for it a month later and i turned out to be negative.
i plan on getting tested again but what if i did have it for that whole month IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO BE STERILE?

First of all, if you had it – the first test would have shown it. Especially if you were still having sex after her diagnosis. Seriously, it is the most common STD and it shows easily when tested for. It’s not one that hides and then shows up months later. And if it’s only been a month that you could have possibly infected, you shouldn’t go sterile. That usually happens after going undiagnosed for a really long time.
