Do the scars from cyrotherapy treatment for hpv go away?

I just recently got a cyrotherapy treatment (about 2-3 weeks ago) for hpv warts. The scabs have fallen off about 3-4 days ago but now there is a lighter skin pigmentation followed by a ring of darker skin (like most scabs look after you pick them). Does these scars go back to my skin color with time or is this permanent? I hope they go away. Any advice would be appreciated Thank you

It fades significantly, but it usually does take a bit of time. In a year, you won’t notice them at all.

Am i having symptoms of genital herpes or something else? Please help?

For about a week or less i’ve had discomfort down there. I am a girl and i have no visual signs of anything at all, no burning when i pee, no flu like symptoms, the only thing is discomfort. I’ts hard to explain kinda, it doesnt hurt really it’s just uncomfortable and i don’t know if i have it or not. The clinics around where i live don’t test for genital herpes. I do have hpv that causes warts, but theres no warts right now either. The discomfort feels internal in a way. I hope this made a little sense, hopefully someone can give me some more info. If you already know you have genital warts, it is very possible that they have developed inside that is why you can’t see them, but you just feel discomfort. Since there is not painful urination, I would guess it is not an infection or genital herpes (those you would definately see if they were on the outside, and it would be more than just discomfort).

holistic or prescription treatment for hsv 2?

I was recently diagnosed with hsv 2. My doctor has prescribed me to use valtrex and Zovirax cream. I have been also been studying and reading wonderful things about using natural, herbal supplements and topical treatments for the use of genital herpes. I am just confused as to what is better? Anyone with personal experience have positive benefits of using natural supplements (l-lysine, zinc, goldenseal root, etc.?) versus using a prescription treatment?

I have uses Valtrex and Lysine. They work the same way, Lysine is a natural antiviral so it can help to suppress and treat out breaks and doesn’t come with side affects like medicine can. Just don’t take both Lysine and antiviral medication at the same time. I prefer using Valtrex, Lysine doesn’t do much for me.

having unrptected sex with 2 women in the past 10 years…shouldnt one of them have shown signs of chlamydia?

Sorry man- 3 out of 4 women DO NOT have symptoms (1 out of 2 men)… If you had slept with 4 women, statistically, one should have had symptoms!
Sleeping with only 2 women- well, none of you needed to show symptoms to be passing the disease!

what causes hpv to form warts?

is it because low immune system or it just does? how can i prevent it from forming warts? since my boyfriend has hpv also, if we have sex, will my warts make him get warts or does his own body decide when?

First there is no proven test for men to prove they have HPV. Your own natural immune system should fight off the HVP from surfacing, I was told if my immune sytem drops, you have “episodes” of them resurfacing. They put me on the Aldara because my immune sytem isn’t fighting it off. Soooooo many woman have HPV and don’t even know it, because they have healthy immune systems, it isn’t until their immune systems weakens they have trouble. I was told at my last visit at Bluementhal Cancer Center, to start drinking Dan Active, which helps with your immune system. I still do the Aldara, on Mon, Wed and Fri. If someone contracts oral hpv, does it also appear on the genitals or just in the mouth?

depend on where the HPV virus contracted. HPV contracted through mucosa. sexually contact lead to genital wart, happened at the genital area. oral sex contact lead to oral warts at the oral area. visible warts meaning highly infectious. once HPV positive, will be positive the rest of the life, and potentially become visible any time when the immune system is weak and sexually contact with someone positive. virus stays in body for 2 months to years to become visible. oral wart, by term, will be the warts appear in the mouth.which means, when someone performing oral sex to someone that having genital warts, the performer may have the chance of having oral warts in the mouth, the same condition when the cervix got infected through intercourse. wish this would help!

could I have herpes? or could it be something else?

this might be a little tmi but i need some advice. I’m not sure if I have herpes. I’ve only had sex with one man and have had oral sex with one other man a few years ago. I’ve never had any symptoms of herpes until recently. I just had one bump on my vaginal area and it was a little sore but went away in a few days. I’ve never had any other symptoms besides that. I just had a baby 2 months ago and I’m not sure if they test for herpes or not. My boyfriend has a bump on his penis that looks like it could be herpes but he says it doesn’t hurt. I am 100% sure he has never cheated on me and that i’m the only person he’s been with. Does this sound like herpes? Would I have been tested for herpes during pregnancy? Could it just be a skin irritation? thanks for all your advice.. sorry for being graphic.

Well it could be, there’s no way to truly know for sure without a culture of the area.

To answer your other question, no they do not test for herpes during a pregnancy unless you are having an outbreak and they actually culture the area.

When I had my first child I did not know that I had genital herpes, therefore, never informed my doctor, as I was unaware myself. I still had a very happy and very healthy baby.

I’m on my second pregnancy now and during the first doctor visit to my gyn I was having a massive outbreak and they cultured it and I did indeed have genital herpes. I’m currently using Valtrex for outbreaks and at 35 weeks I will have to go on it daily to try and prevent an outbreak during the time of my delivery.

So I also may have given you too much info. too, but I hope it helps.

And if you do have genital herpes, trust me, it is not the end of the world and it doesn’t make you a bad person. It is just life and these things happen and we just have to move on and try to take care of ourselves as best we can and educate ourselves.
