where is the best place to get tested for STD’s ? I am still on my parent’s health insurance plan so I’m afraid if I go to my regular doctor, the tests will show up on the insurance billing that my parents receive…So where can I go to remain anonymous?
Well here in Ohio we have planned parenthood and im pretty sure that they do STD tests there at little or no cost but im not sure.I think your best bet to remain anonymous would be to look for a planned parenthood clinic or a county free clinic, call them and see what they say.
As an aside I don’t know your parents but i cant help but say that it might be better to tell them honestly what is going on and you might need their help. Honesty is usually a good thing.
Suggestions needed to balance my vaginal ph and boost my immune system.?
I’m 35 and get chronic vaginal bacterial infections (for the past 10 years). I’ve been to MANY doctors and none of them have been able to help me prevent the infections from coming back. The docs do prescribe antibiotics but over the years I’ve probably built an immune system to them! Yes I’ve been tested for some of the common stds out there. The results were negative. The doctors I’ve been to just keep telling me that “some women are just more prone to vaginal infections than others”. Well duhhhhhh! So how do I prevent these infections? All of the basic, common sense preventative measurements have already been tried…anyone out there have any advice?
I had the exact same problem, and I found something that works GREAT for me. It’s a product called RepHresh. CVS carries it. It’s a gel that regulates the vaginal pH. For me, it was a miracle cure. It’s kind of expensive, but worth it. You use it a couple times a week.
When you pee in a cup for a physical, is that urine tested for any STD’s?
A few months ago, I received oral sex (I’m a dude) and I’m slightly afraid of an STD showing up when I get my next physical, which will probably happen in the next few months.
I’m 16, so I can’t visit the doctor on my own, nor can my results be kept private IF I go to my family doctor.
However, I CAN get anonymously STD at a local clinic. Once I get a spare moment (My life is hectic. haha) I intend on getting a ride to that clinic and doing some testing. The only problem is that I don’t think I can get treatment (ie. Antibiotics) without parental consent.
So, yea. Is the urine test you get from a routine pediatric physical tested for any STD’s?
I’ve have no symptoms EXCEPT for a random VERY mild urinary burning sensation. It usually happens maybe once a day – if at all – and when I was on vacation in Jamaica, it didn’t hurt once. Actually, it really never bothers me much and when I don’t even think about it, I never experience. Could this be nerves?
The answer is no. They do not test for STD’s in urine during a routine physical. Only the presence of blood, infection, and protein. If you are unsure, go and get tested. I think they can give you antibiotics without notifying your parents. It is the doctor/patient privilege – they cannot tell.
